Strawberry Fields participated in the Centre County United Way Day of Caring, an annual community volunteer event that brings neighbors together to support local nonprofits.
This year, nearly 20 volunteers from RE/MAX Centre Realty, First National Bank, McQuaide Blasko, and the Women's Supper Club completed four projects across our residential program homes. Over 80 hours of service went into landscaping, weeding, staining decks, and preparing yards for fall and winter. Their hard work ensures that the people we support continue to live in safe, welcoming spaces that foster stability and belonging.
A special thank you goes to R. H. Marcon, Inc., who donated a new roof and all associated labor for one of our Community Residential Rehabilitation homes, a transitional residential program for individuals with mental health challenges. This marks the 5th roof R.H. Marcon, Inc. has replaced for Strawberry Fields through the United Way Day of Caring. This extraordinary gift will have a lasting impact. We also thank All Business Videography, LLC for capturing and sharing photos and video from the roofing project.
We are deeply grateful to every volunteer and to Centre County United Way for hosting and coordinating this wonderful day. This gift of time helps us maintain our program homes and ensure they remain safe and welcoming. Every volunteer hour allows us to stretch our resources further for those we serve.
The Day of Caring truly reflects what makes our community special: neighbors coming together to lend a hand and support the people we are privileged to serve.
